Kris Shevlin

Kris Shevlin is a licensed Physical Therapist with a Master's Degree in Physical Therapy from Columbia University and 27 years of clinical experience in Physical Therapy, including an Orthopedic / Spine Residency. Kris is a also a trained, certified Breast Cancer Exercise Specialist (BCES) through the Pink Ribbon Program.


Kris is also a partner in the National Osteoporosis Foundation, is Polestar Pilates Certified, is a member of the Pilates Method Alliance and is also certified with the Yoga Alliance, Kris has a private physical therapy practice in East Sacramento. Kris' unique utilization of Pilates-based exercise methods in the treatment of osteoporosis and breast cancer patients is an integral part of her practice.

Christina Spence

Christina Spence

Christina Spence is a Certified Pilates Instructor through the Pilates Method Alliance and is currently employed with Kris Shevlin Physical Therapy. She offers one hour individual or Duet Pilates sessions. The Pilates exercises are performed one-on-one, on specially designed Pilates equipment, and enable the client to obtain core stabilizing strength and postural alignment.

Christina Spence is also a BCES (Breast Cancer Exercise Specialist) who has been certified through the Pink Ribbon Program to work with breast cancer survivors. Christina has made breast cancer recovery her focus since being diagnosed her self in 2006 at the age of 33. Christina helps breast cancer survivors obtain quality of life during and after treatment; her goal is to educate, encourage and empower breast cancer survivors to live their best life and reach their fitness and health goals. She offers individual breast cancer recovery Pilates sessions, available Monday through Friday 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

Christina's services include Lymphatic Drainage Therapy, Cranial Sacral Therapy, Hot Stone Massage and Heart Centered Therapy are offered in conjunction with the Pink Ribbon Program. Gift Certificates are available; give the most thoughtful gift to a breast cancer survivor.
